The Golden Delta – a Regents Journey
The water does not wait. Canals are cut, polders are claimed, and factory smoke rises over towns that did not exist yesterday. In the low-lying delta where rivers meet the sea, the land itself is a resource — and those who shape it, rule it.
It is an age of ambition in the Netherlands. Steam and capital are remaking the landscape faster than any king’s decree ever could. Merchants grow rich on the canals, industrialists stake their claims along the riverbanks, and the old families of the delta watch their ancient holdings shrink with every new polder drained and every new factory raised. The map is drawn — but it is not finished. Not yet.
In The Golden Delta, you compete for influence across a bounded and contested landscape, where every tile placed is a choice about what gets built, and what gets buried. The board is fixed. The water surrounds you. And your rivals are already digging.

Whats included?
Game board: Map of France
The Golden Delta is played on a fixed map of the Dutch delta — 101 buildable spaces arranged across the rivers, lowlands, and coastline of the Netherlands. Tile placement is constrained to the marked spaces on the map, forcing every player to make deliberate choices about where to expand and what to sacrifice. Space is finite. Competition is inevitable.

30 Polder cards
Scattered across the map are 30 Polder Sites, marked with a shovel icon. Whenever a tile is placed on one of these spaces, the player immediately draws a Polder Card and resolves it. Some cards grant points. Some allow you to build on the water itself — draining the sea one tile at a time, opening ground where no ground existed before. Hold too many for too long, and they will cost you.

New Tiles
The Golden Delta introduces two new tile types that expand the supply chain logic at the heart of Regents. Canal tiles function as upgraded roads – connected waterways that make roads score more and reach further, rewarding players who build their networks around them. Factories are new Special Buildings that generate passive income whenever cities or forests connected to them continue to grow, turning other players’ expansion into points for your industrialists.

5 Characters
Each player takes the role of a figure with a stake in the future of the delta – a character with their own history, their own ambitions, and their own set of secret goals. The same board, the same tiles, five entirely different games being played at once.
