Hexagonal Tiles
Epoch contains 96 hexagonal tiles containing land and water features. Armies can move across land, and each tile has its own resources.
Resource Cards
Every Era is characterised by hoarding different resources to progress along your dynasty. Collect and use them to advance technologically, build your civil and military infrastructure, and expand your armies.
Era & Tech Cards
Epoch has 5 sequential Eras with their own technologies. Progress from the Antiquity through to the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Industrialization, to the Modern Age. Each era offers you more options to expand and overthrow your enemies.
Tokens: Armies, Buildings, and Progress
Epoch contains 2 different types of buildings, both with two optional upgrades. On the one hand, civil infrastructure allows you to collect resources. Military infrastructure on the other hand allows you to build armies. Upgrades will increase the buildings capabilities. Buildings also count as a defense value – protecting your domain. Progress tokens signify your advances through the ages. 5 simple tokens identify which techs you have unlocked, and 5 Era tokens show in which Era your civilization is.
